Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of WARHAWK for the Playstation 3 PS3 video game console. This multiplayer action, shooter, tank, flying, airplane simulator run amok out of control nonstop mayhem game is loads of fun to play against hordes of other Warhawk fanatics. Capture the Flag, Deathmatch, zones and team deathmatch are just some of the exciting modes to play in. Warhawk originally used the sixaxis controller exclusively but now has a patch to use the PS3 controller in a normal mode which worked very well. They seem to be constantly updates this game with new downloadable content, levels and patches all the time. CGRHD enjoyed Warhawk very much and hopes to see more additions to it. Maybe they can have an all out brawl between Warhawk and Halo 3… that could get ugly. This game reminds us of Star Wars Battlefront and also Herzog Zwei on the Sega Genesis, sort of.

Classic Game Room HD reviews SMASH CARS for Playstation 3 PS3. This download game from Playstation Network for the PS3 is like the modern day equivalent of RC Pro Am on the NES. Race remote controller cars around tracks full of obstacles, jumps and hazards. The gameplay is a cross between a Super Mario Kart “Kart” style racer and a demolition, combat racer like Fatal Inertia or Burnout Paradise. There are 3 different chassis to choose from and numerous RC car style bodies. Pull off tricks in the air to earn stars and nitrous boost. Fans of fun, outrageous racing games should check this one out, no simulation racing here. Mag may not be the most prolific shooter ever created but Sony’s PS3 exclusive shooter is made for massive multiplayer games and succeeds. Short on style but high on action, that’s MAG in a nutshell. Smooth online games with up to 256 player battles and very little wait time between matches. Headset compatible with lots of people playing and numerous combat style engagements, MAG excels where so many other shooters fall flat on their face. On the downside for some is the fact that MAG is multiplayer only, so the fun only lasts as long as people are playing it. MAG is like a combination of Warhawk and Modern Warfare 2. Well designed multiplayer boards and fast paced combat with upgrade ready machine guns, sniper riles and heavy weapons await PS3 gamers.
