How do you play downloaded Sony PSP games using your memory stick only?

I currently own a version 3.60 psp. I know it is perfectly possible to download psp games through torrent clients.
The question is, how do i play downloaded psp games that are stored in my memory stick.

Also, is a USB cable truly necessary?
I bought a PSP core system pack, meaning
it contains only the unit itself and
its charger and battery, so I had to buy a memory stick seperately.

Ok, first you have to downgrade your firmware to 1.5, then upgrade it to a custom firmware of your choice. to do this go to psp-hacks.com and search for 3.60 downgrader. Then download a custom firmware from their site and read the tutorials that come with it. It will tell you everything you need to know. once your psp is custom, you will need to put your iso’s on your memory stick under F:/ISO or whatever drive letter yours comes up as. You need a USB cable to hook your PSP up to your computer and do this. Hope this helps.
