well depends what series
if its 1000 (original psp the fat one) you need a downgrader to go back to 5.50 then look up how to hack it.
if its a 2000 (original slim) take out the battery
if the serial is less then (HU)2160000 then follow downgrade it to 5.03 look for instructions to hack it
if the serial is more than HU2249999 then tough luck D:
if its a 3000 (second slim) —like mine
(I got mine hacked because i didnt upgrade 5.03=3k HACK

to get custom firmware, basically hack your
psp to do this. It wont work on 6.20, but
you can downgrade it with a pandora battery
and a magic memory stick. just do some
research on it all 2 understand more. hope this
helps =]
